Principle of Double Tunneling
When you activate a chain, packets are first encrypted with the first server's key, and a second layer of encryption is added on top. The entry server sees your real IP but doesn't know the website address, while the exit node sees the target site but doesn't know who sent the request. Due to complex physical routing between countries, response times multiply.
When is a Double Tunnel Justified?
- Working with sensitive documents and confidential journalistic investigations
- Bypassing harsh regional blocks when direct foreign nodes are isolated
- Turn the feature off for video calls, online gaming, and HD streaming
- Choose geographically close server pairs to minimize speed loss
