How does the Hysteria 2 protocol save connections during high packet loss and unstable networks?

IT USES A MODIFIED UDP PROTOCOL WITH ITS OWN BUILT-IN CONGESTION CONTROL.
Standard TCP connections drop speed sharply even with a few percent packet loss. The Hysteria 2 protocol aggressively pushes data through unstable communication channels, ignoring standard acknowledgment delays.

Overcoming the Packet Queue Blocking Effect

In classical TCP-based protocols, losing a single network block freezes the transmission of the entire queue until acknowledgment is re-received. Hysteria 2 is built on the modified QUIC transport protocol: independent data streams run in parallel, so losing individual fragments does not cause web pages or video streams to freeze.
