How does the TUIC protocol solve VPN drops when switching between Wi-Fi and cellular?

IT USES CONNECTION IDENTIFIERS WITHIN THE QUIC PROTOCOL WITHOUT REBINDING TO AN IP ADDRESS.
Traditional TCP-based VPN tunnels drop at the slightest change of a device's IP address, forcing re-authorization. TUIC operates over UDP/QUIC, instantly preserving the active session when switching from home Wi-Fi to a cell tower.

Connection Migration Mechanism

In classical protocols, a session is strictly tied to an IP address and port combination. The QUIC standard, which TUIC is built upon, identifies the client by a unique random Connection ID. When a smartphone loses Wi-Fi and connects to LTE, the server recognizes this identifier and continues data transmission without pauses or reconnects.
