What is Double VPN (MultiHop) and when should you use it?

ROUTING TRAFFIC THROUGH TWO SEQUENTIAL ENCRYPTION SERVERS.
This feature chains your connection: the entry node changes your original IP address, and the second server decrypts the traffic before it reaches the global internet. This prevents de-anonymization even if one of the servers is compromised.

The Mechanics of Double Encapsulation

With a standard connection, the server knows your real IP and sees the address of the target website. With MultiHop, the first server sees only your real IP without knowing the final destination, while the second server sees the target resource but has no idea what your original IP is. The main trade-off for this redundant privacy is an unavoidable increase in network latency (ping).
