What is a Session Hijacking attack and how is account access stolen without a password?

BY STEALING ACTIVE SESSION TOKENS OR BROWSER COOKIES DIRECTLY.
After a successful login, the site issues a digital pass (session cookie) to the browser, eliminating the need to re-enter a password. Attackers steal this token and open the victim's profile, bypassing two-factor authentication.

Authorization Token Theft Mechanism

Malicious browser extensions or infostealer Trojans read the encrypted session storage on disk. By transferring the stolen token to the attacker's device, they swap the cookies in their browser and instantly gain access to email, social media, or admin panels without a 2FA prompt.
