The Principle of Signature Detection
Original WireGuard protocol packets feature fixed-size service data and a characteristic UDP handshake format. DPI equipment instantly detects this pattern in mobile traffic and applies selective packet dropping (drop), causing the connection status to hang indefinitely during request initiation.
Working Workarounds
- Switch to the modified AmneziaWG protocol with junk packets added to headers
- Route traffic through obfuscated proxies based on VLESS Reality or ShadowTLS
- Use UDP packet encapsulation via utilities like wstunnel or udp2raw to disguise traffic as HTTPS
