Blocks & Bypassing

How does the Hysteria 2 protocol bypass UDP traffic blocks by mobile operators?

IT DISGUISES DATA AS STANDARD HTTP/3 TRAFFIC AND USES DYNAMIC PORT HOPPING.
Some cellular providers intentionally throttle or drop non-standard UDP connections. Hysteria 2 uses a modified QUIC stack and Port Hopping to mimic legitimate browsing traffic on secure websites.

How Port Hopping Works

When large amounts of data are transmitted continuously over a single fixed UDP port, DPI algorithms flag the stream as a suspicious tunnel and activate throttling. Port Hopping allows the client and server to continuously switch outgoing ports according to a synchronized table without dropping the active data session.
