Browser Plugin Attack Vectors
Many plugins request permission to "Read and change all your data on the websites you visit." This allows authors to intercept input forms, inject third-party ads, or swap cryptocurrency wallet addresses.
Audit and Security Rules
- Uninstall unused plugins and regularly review their granted permissions
- Avoid installing extensions from third-party sources as unpacked ZIP archives
- Restrict plugin access to "On click" mode rather than allowing it on all sites by default
